MAV UK Basic Yoga previously delivered on a Wednesday evening for 10 weeks has now been replaced with sessions with Movement & Mindfulness sessions. These sessions are now during the day from 2pm at Hulme Hall Centre on a Thursday. Currently session are every other week (biweekly).

Amina is currently developing a Movement and Mindfulness mental health intervention with the support of MAV UK. Amina has a background in dance, drama, and physical theatre, and nearly a decade working in HR and people-focused roles, Amina started a personal development journey in 2021, immersed in therapy, self-evolution and knowledge of self. This journey inspired a shift in both career and life, leading to the integration of well-being into her work. Amina aim for the project are aligned with the STOP & REACH Knife Crime Prevention intervention, which seeks to improve young people and their parents mental health, by engaging in pro-social activities which improve the mind and body.

Now, Amina is offering well-being services to the community, focusing on movement and dance in one session, mindfulness practices in a second, and presence-centred sessions as an overall theme. She create a welcoming space where individuals can engage in activities that nurture mental health and overall well-being.
Her sessions provide opportunities for self-expression through movement, relaxation through guided mindfulness exercises, and deeper connections through presence and awareness practices. Amina hopes to cultivate an environment that encourages growth, healing, and a strong sense of community.
We are pleased the sessions are currently supported by National Lottery Funding.
